This book is so much fun to read!  Just saying “Stinky Face” makes me giggle and have a desire to read this adorable treasure of a book.  This book describes the beauty of the unconditional love that a mother has for her child, in a playful and quite endearing way.

The little boy in this story has several questions for his mother.  He persists and continues to ask the same question in a different and unique way.  He starts out by asking if she would still love him if he was a scary monster.  He then continues to ask if she would still love him if he was a stinky skunk or ugly ape, to which she replies yes, every time.

The author has such a fun way of showing how much this mother loves her curious little boy.  It reminded me of the book “Guess how much I love you” by Sam McBratney.  I have always loved these books.  The difference is, the humor sprinkled in this particular book, in the most charming way..

The illustrations in this book were a lot of fun.  They were whimsical and enchanting with a very fun font.  This book is a board book and one of a series of books by. the same author.

The other Stinky Face books include:

I Miss You Stinky Face, Goodnight Stinky Face, Thank you Stinky Face, It’s Time for School Stinky Face, Merry Christmas Stinky Face, Happy Halloween Stinky Face, It’s the 100th day Stinky Face, Ready for Kindergarten Stinky Face, You Can Do It Stinky Face, and Thank You Stinky Face.
