All I have to say is ILLUSTRATIONS, ILLUSTRATIONS and yes, I said it again, ILLUSTRATIONS!!! They reminded me of a comic book. The animals and their facial expressions were so adorable.
Poor Wilford just wants someone to be his valentine. Once he figures out what Valentines Day is all about, he decides to start asking his friends, the farm animals. He starts out with the angry goat, who then, not so politely, tells him to get lost. He heads over to the cat, who is very disinterested. He thinks he finally found a taker, but instead gets a surprise. Poor Wilford finds himself the victim of a skunk.
He tries to take a bath in a local lake, but doesn’t seem to be able to rid himself of the smell! The facial expressions on the faces of the fish were nothing short of hysterical. He thens approaches a few more animals, without any takers. Even the pig decides that Wilford smells worse then his own pigpen.
Wilford, feeling very dejected, continues to ask his friends. Blue comes along and feeling sorry for his poor, sad friend, comes up with an idea. He hands out nose clips to all of his friends on the farm. This is an unexpected surprise for Wilford and creates something special on the farm, The animals can now celebrate Valentines Day together!
Wilford and Blue are part of a series! I can’t wait to see what the other illustrations look like!
