This book was an absolute delight! It’s a clever twist on Where the Wild Things Are, but from a mom’s perspective—and it totally delivered. The story begins with a mom “going on strike,” which basically means she lets Dad handle dinner while she sneaks away for a well-earned bubble bath.

As she relaxes, her imagination takes over. She dreams of sailing off to an island where other moms are living it up—dancing, laughing, and enjoying a carefree escape. The moms are so welcoming, they even want to make her their queen! But despite the fun, she begins to miss her family and decides to return home.

When she gets back, there’s a cozy cup of tea waiting for her—such a sweet and thoughtful ending.

This story is the perfect mix of fun and heart. It’s ideal for Mother’s Day, and honestly, it speaks to moms just as much as it entertains kids.
