I really enjoyed this book and was so excited to find out it was part of a series. When poor Jim Panzee wakes up one day he finds that he doesn’t feel quite right. He can’t figure out why he is so mad at everything. His friends keep asking him why he is grumpy to which he replies that he is not! Well, when someone asks you if you are grumpy enough you might become even more grumpy. That is what happens when everyone keeps asking Jim if he is grumpy. His friends can’t figure out why someone would be so grumpy on such a beautiful day. They ask him to stop hunching, to smile and do things that will make them happy. Finally Jim has a meltdown. He wants to just feel the way he feels… grumpy! Norman the gorilla comes along feeling a bit out of sorts as well when he decides to dance with porcupine. Together Jim and Norman find comfort in just feeling the way they want to feel even if it is grumpy, and now they are both feeling better.
