Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Partypooper

Jeff Kinney’s newest Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, Partypooper, was released on October 21st of this year, and it’s already a massive success. The Wimpy Kid series has sold over 300 million copies worldwide, and its popularity just keeps growing.

It’s funny when you think about it — the books center around a twelve-year-old boy, yet kids as young as eight (and even older readers) can’t get enough of them. Maybe it’s the cartoons, maybe it’s the relatable storylines — whatever the reason, my grandsons absolutely love them!

One thing that makes this series extra special is that Jeff Kinney, the author, has ADHD and speaks openly about it. He writes with kids like him in mind, offering stories that are engaging, funny, and easy to connect with. Of course, children everywhere enjoy these books, and honestly, any story that keeps kids reading and excited about books is a win in my eyes.

In Partypooper, Greg Heffley is back — a twelve-year-old who’s feeling anxious about an unexpected family surprise. As his plans start to fall apart, Greg’s still holding onto one big hope: getting his hands on a rare trading card. The only problem? Everyone else wants it too!`
