The Polar Express is a timeless classic that holds a very special place in my heart. It’s my son’s favorite book, and it became even more meaningful while he was serving a mission for our church in Chile, where we could only communicate with him on Christmas and Mother’s Day.
For his first Christmas away, I sent him a copy of The Polar Express in English, tucking a small bell at the bottom of his Christmas package. The following year, I sent him the book in Spanish. During his time in Chile, I often sent children’s books in Spanish, knowing that stories have a special way of bringing comfort and joy across any distance.
I’ve always believed that one of the most perfect gifts for a child is a book. Many beloved children’s books are available in multiple languages, making it easy to share the magic of reading with kids anywhere in the world.
So, settle in, pour yourself a cup of hot chocolate, and enjoy a ride aboard The Polar Express.
