This book was so adorable, heartfelt and beautifully Illustrated. It is based on real events from the dog’s perspective, which made it even more fun. This story follows George, who loses his owner in China and finds himself in an animal shelter, unsure of what the future holds.

While George makes new friends, his journey takes an incredible turn when he travels by plane from China to Raleigh, North Carolina, with the help of Bunnies Buddies, a California-based animal relocation service. He makes a short stop in New York City to meet his new owner, Carson, where he eats some good food and gets a much needed bath.

Perfect for children ages 4–8, this book opens the door to meaningful conversations about animal rescue, pet adoption, compassion, and that feeling of belonging.
