A Fun and Relatable Children’s Book About Bath Time
This is such a relatable children’s book. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard, “I don’t want to do this” or “I don’t want to do that,” especially when it comes to bath time. Max learns the hard way that refusing to take a bath can lead to some very unusual consequences.
At first, corn begins growing out of his ears. Before long, things spiral completely out of control. Max ends up with a pig, an entire garden, and just about everything imaginable growing out of his belly button and even on top of his head. What starts as a simple refusal turns into a full-blown disaster, and his poor mom is exhausted from cleaning up after him.
Eventually, Max decides it’s finally time to take a bath—much to his mother’s relief. The message is playful, funny, and easy for young children to understand, making it a great way to introduce the importance of hygiene without lectures or pressure.
This book is perfect for children ages 3 and up. If I’m being honest, I loved it just as much as my grandkids did. It’s a wonderful addition to a nighttime routine, especially for families working on bath time, brushing teeth, and winding down before bed. This is the kind of story kids ask to hear again and again, and parents (and grandparents) will enjoy it just as much.
