How to Catch a Leprechaun

This book is part of the super fun “How to Catch” series, and it’s easy to see why these books are such a hit with teachers, librarians, and kids. The illustrations are bright, colorful, and full of energy, and the rhyming text makes it a really fun read-aloud.

In this story, kids come up with all kinds of creative (and sometimes hilarious) traps to try and catch a sneaky little leprechaun. Each page is more imaginative than the last, and it’s fun to see what they’ll try next. Of course, if you know this series, you can probably guess how it goes—the leprechaun always manages to escape!

That’s part of what makes these books so fun, though. Even though the traps don’t work, it gets kids thinking and laughing, and it leaves just enough magic to make you want to try again next year.

Overall, this is a cute, playful book that’s perfect for St. Patrick’s Day and a great pick if your kids enjoy rhyming stories and a little bit of mischief.
