Axolotl Agency: The Murky Mess

Written by: Adrienne Christin

This engaging chapter book by an independent author is a wonderful choice for readers ages 7–11. Young readers will love that it feels like they’re reading a “grown-up” chapter book while still being perfectly suited for their age.

In this adventure, the Axolotl Agency team is on a mission to discover what is causing the mysterious murky mess in Lake Fin. The story is filled with mystery, making it a fun page-turner that will keep kids guessing until the very end.

One of my favorite aspects of the book is how it blends learning with the adventure. Throughout the story, Miss Opal shares fascinating facts about axolotls and other interesting topics, making it both entertaining and educational. I also appreciated the quiz at the end of the book, which gives readers a chance to see how much they remembered from the story.

Overall, this is a fun, educational mystery that combines adventure, humor, and learning. It’s a great pick for young readers who enjoy solving mysteries while discovering fascinating facts along the way.
