The Boy & The Moon

This book is so beautifully written by an independent author. It has such a soothing, peaceful feel to it and would be a wonderful book to read at bedtime.

It was such a sweet story, and it made me think about all of the simple, beautiful things in our amazing world. There is so much to see, hear, and experience if we just slow down long enough to notice.

The story follows a little boy who is out for a walk with his dad when his father tells him to listen to the moon. At first, the boy is a little confused. How do you listen to the moon? Then one night, he closes his eyes and really listens. He hears the soft crashing of the ocean waves and smells the wonderful scent of jasmine. He begins to understand that this is how the moon talks to us—through all of the beautiful things around us.

What I especially loved is that when the little boy grows up, he passes this same lesson on to his own daughter. It was such a lovely reminder to slow down, be present, and take in the beauty that surrounds us every day.

And there is one more adorable little detail, a cute cat appears on every page! I loved looking for it as I read.

This is such a peaceful, heartfelt book with a beautiful message, and I think it would make a lovely addition to a bedtime book collection.
